The Binn Eco Park Wind Farm is a natural extension to an existing eco-innovation industrial facility which currently recycles, reclaims and re-manufactures waste products and converts non-recyclable materials into energy products.

The wind farm fits into the park’s plan to expand the range of green ventures within the park to include hydroponic food production, biomass drying and manufacturing from recycled materials.

In July 2015 Element Power was granted planning permission to construct the Binn Eco Park Wind Farm at Glenfarg.

In May 2016 the UK Government’s Energy Bill received Royal Assent, bringing forward the closure of the Renewable Obligations Scheme for new onshore wind developments such as Binn Eco Park.
